I'm glad I can blame my absence from this blog on our broken computer, because it has nothing to do with my laziness :) I have a lot of catching up to do, so here goes!
We made a trip to Charlottesville to visit Uncle B and JoJo....in October!
We went apple picking and had so much fun. Davis ate 2 apples....whole....seeds, stems, core!
Nana and Pawpaw love being with all the grandchildren! It was a little windy up on the mountain, but still so much fun!
Maddy wasn't too sure about the apples!
Love these ladies!
The next big event in the George clan involved a broken arm :( Poor little Davis was playing around the house, like his typical self and fell and broke both bones in his right forearm.
Not the greatest picture, but this is on the ride home from the emergency room...after first going to our pediatrician's office, then xray, then finally the ER for the soft cast.
He handled the broken arm much better than I anticipated. He was ready to play soon after we got home! Thankfully Nana and Papa G were in town along with the rest of the crew to lift his spirits!
A few days later the doctor replaced the soft cast with a new blue cast. Didn't slow him down one bit!! The cast stayed on for just 4 weeks. Several people signed his cast, which made him feel very special!
Next big event: Halloween!! Sweet Riley was a cute little duck, although some mistook her for a chicken. Clearly, she is a duck!
And Davis was a skeleton....AGAIN! Except this year the skeleton had a broken arm!
It was hard to slow down for one picture. Davis was having too much fun ringing doorbells!
He had even more fun passing out candy to the neighbors! Maybe next year I will be a little more creative with his costume....just maybe!
To celebrate my 30th birthday (that's right, the big 3-0!), Andrew planned an exciting trip to the Big Apple! We are so thankful to Nana and Papa George for keeping Davis and Riley so we could thoroughly enjoy ourselves in New York City!
We spent our first day there walking all over the city doing "touristy" things....like taking in the view from the top of the Empire State Building.
We also caught a glimpse of Occupy Wall Street. This sign made me laugh!
We met Rupert right before we saw David Letterman....front row seats, but no Justin Bieber :(
Radio City Music Hall was beautiful, especially during this time of year. We saw the Christmas Spectacular. Those Rockettes are something else!!
Ok, enough about me and my old self. On to Riley's FIRST birthday!! It's hard to believe a year has come and gone so quickly. We had the whole family over for some pizza and cake to celebrate!
Here's the birthday girl!!
Gracie and Mimi know how to party!
Tasting the birthday cake....not too sure at first!
She finally dug in, after we literally shoved it in her face!
Can you tell everyone is having a blast?! We really know how to throw a party :) I think Davis is playing with Riley's birthday gifts...and continues to think they belong to him. We are working on sharing!
Christmas was spent in West Virginia this year! It was such a treat to be with the whole family (well almost the whole family) over Christmas.
We spent Christmas Eve at Nana and Papa G's house. Davis really enjoyed opening presents this year. I think Caleb and Papa G planned their matching shirts!
Riley had fun too! She will be stylin' in her new outfits from Nana!
I think I covered Christmas with the Webb family in the previous post, so I will refrain. Plus I'm exhausted from all this blogging! So I will close with a few more random pics! Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays as much as we did!
Hollywild with Uncle Jason and Aunt Ashley!
Helping "decorate" the tree!
Cheese!
And the best part of the holidays........
Go 'eers!
